For a while now, when I try to make custom eye colors that aren't facepaint and are actually eye color presets, the custom eye colors I created don't show as options on the eye color menu in cas.
I kind of gave up since then trying to make my own eye colors this way, but along with use of my furry mod, facepaint eye contacts do not work with these furry mod cas head parts thus if I can't make my own actual eye colors to use with it, I will never REALLY be able to make furry characters properly, furry characters just usually don't have the human-like eyes (Or at least when I design furry OCs I don't give them human eyes, I normally give them something that matches what animal species they are suppose to be), cats should have cat eye pupils, there's not enough colors in the options either. What's even more odd is I have multiple mods, from these mods I actually have three custom eye colors showing that are meant to be used with the mod gameplay, so it seems there is still a way to make working real CC eye colors that show up in the cas eye color menu, however when I try doing it using Sims 4 Studio my eye colors I create just don't show up and also aren't seen in the game.
Can someone please explain to me in more simple terms what's going on here, why my own eyes I make aren't working, and what the problem is that is causing these issues. Honestly, Sims 4 always is broken, every update breaks another game feature rather it's modded or no mods, so honestly I'm sick of this and want a new game similar to the sims that isn't always broken. Though currently I'm stuck playing Sims 4 so I'd like help figuring this issue with the eyes out while I'm forced to rely on Sims 4 for this kind of gameplay.
The last part about being annoyed with Sims 4 always being broken was a small vent, please do not reply to this thread with only stuff regarding that vent, please only respond with things related to fixing the CC eye color issue stuff, thank you!~
Some things to note before responding:
1. I'm an absolute noob with things like blender and unity, so because I'm still working on teaching myself the basics of these more advanced customization platforms, it's preferred any solutions provided be able to simply be done by using things like Sims 4 Studio, The Sims 4 Game, and Paint.net.
2. This is not a mod conflict situation, since the issue still presents it's self when no mods but the CC Eye Color I added are in the folder, thus please do not suggest I do that troubleshooting done with mod conflicts, since that isn't going to fix this particular.
3. I always make sure I have CC and Script Mods enabled, so this isn't a matter of me just forgetting to enable the mod settings in the game.
4. This has been an issue for over a year for me and is still an issue, at first I thought The Sims 4 just didn't have proper custom eye color support anymore which is why I never really bothered seeking out a fix, but then recently considering one or more mods I have seem to come with some kind of Custom Eye Color for use with it's gameplay this tells me that actually no, it's still possible to make custom eye colors, but something is wrong that is making MY eye colors not work, thus now I seek out a fix to make my CC Eye Colors Work.
5. TO CLARIFY, I'm NOT looking for already made furry eyes or CC nor am I looking for make believe options like changing a cat to vampire to use the green vampire eyes that look like cat eyes, I'm looking for a fix to get my own CC Eye Colors working and selectable in-game when using CAS. Keep this in mind before replying to me, thank you.
