Hi! I've been stuck trying to figure out for weeks how to convert other creators 3d eyelashes to be used on male sims, but now with the recent update that came with an eyelash category, I'm also wondering how to convert from the glasses category to that!
I just want to make trans fem sims and drag queens, but no one really has any of the long pretty lashes for male sims, I just want to do this for personal use only. Specifically using Obscurous eyelashes, theirs are the absolute best 3d lashes I've come across, and I've ran into no issues with them so far. I just don't know how to make them for male sims, simply changing them in s4s doesn't work, they don't fit the male eyes like they do for fem sims. I'm guessing this needs fixed in blender, but idk how to do any of that, I know nothing about blender, please help
Long story short, I need help converting 3d lashes to male sims as well as moving them from the glasses category to the new eyelash category!
Edit: not sure if this is necessary, but specifically obscurus-sims 3d lashes, all the ones that are realistic & not maxis match

Hi. There isnt much difference in heads between masc and fem frames, so you should be able to convert eyelashes the following way: - in s4s main many click on My CC; - in the search bar enter "eyelashes", select one; - first, try to enable Masculine fashion choice and hit Apply to all swatches. Scroll down and make sure Restrict opposite gender is disabled ( if not, disable and apply to all ). Save and check in-game if the mesh distorts; - if it does, enable Male in Age&Gender flags and disable Restrict opposite frame, dont forger to apply all.
For alpha eyelashes to work, their textures and uvs must be located where skin textures have nothing. Since eyelashes have always been a part of the body and their texture a part of the skin texture, the location meant for them is not transparent on skin textures. Basically, you can re-categorize maxis eyelashes and re-locate their textures and uvs in the space that was always theirs, but you cannot do this with alpha eyelashes.

Sorry for the slow response, forgot to check back. Thank you! I'll try this out tomorrow, I've already tried switching the gender in s4s but didn't mess with the opposite frame setting, so maybe that would change the results. When I tried before, the eyelashes wouldn't fit on every eye type like they would for female framed sims. The lashes would move with the blinking eye, but they'd just not fit the eye right

Yeah here is the problem I'm running into, the lashes fit perfectly on fem sims, but on male sims they don't. For female sims the lashes fit to all eye types, for male sims they don't work on any eye type Here's images so you can see what's going on, posted to imgur imgur.com/a/ycBQpML

If you keep gender flags as Female only and enable both Fashion preference flags, it seems to work with eyes that arent hooded. Problem is, the mesh itself does not match eyes on any frame. It is also not adapted correctly. You'd need to learn how to make eyelashes to fix them basically.

I kinda figured it would be a mesh issue, the weird thing is when I don't edit the lash files in s4s, they fit to other eye types for female sims. They'll move with the lid & eyeshape, but converting it changes that for some reason
Thank you for taking a look though, I appreciate the feedback
