I'm trying to edit the new EA lashes but I discovered that they distort when you use the braid from Horse Ranch. I was wondering if anyone knew how to solve this issue. With the braid and the distortion on the right side Without the braid and no distortion Blend file (it's just the EA base game lash that only has upper lashes. I made no changes to the file): www.mediafire.com/file/szhv8a27qvugacb/bglash.blend/file

Hi. There is nothing wrong with original eyelashes or this hair, so you cannot fix this by altering them. Do you have an eyelash remover mod or any other head replacement? They cause this problem. Without them, everything behaves as intended

I removed my mods and this issue is still happening. I also think, even in your photo the distortion is there, although subtle. If you click around with different eye presets, you can see the distortion better in some. The right top lash in your photo is going higher than the left, and I think you can see the contrast even better if you swap that hair with a different one and watch the eyelashes change shape. No mods: No mods, different hair and no distortion: EDIT: It seems to be an issue with the hair because when I made a really rough edit and pushed the strands away from the face, the distortion was gone. Is there a way to fix this without moving the hair away from the face? Like is there something I can do with weights or whatever to preserve the hair's original appearance while also making sure the lashes don't distort? Here's a gif of the original hair and the edit where the hair was pushed back, and you can see the lashes changing

It is not just this one hair, a week or so ago a person reported a similar issue with any hair that was close to eyelashes. Removing the head replacement is an extent of what can be done to fix it without reshaping the hair and it should be enough until maxis fixes it completely. It most likely has already been reported, but if you have the time, you could do that as well

These are alpha eyelashes that, unlike maxis ones, are vertex painted with two colors and are further away from eyelids. The roots painted with 007F3F follow lid-related details mode morphs while the tips painted with 007F00 stay in place. There are some other differences, but recreating them makes no changes. - in Edit mode select the roots like this. Switch to Vertex paint, click on the color, switch to Hex, then enter 007f00, Paint - Set vertex color. Then enable Face paint, change the color to 007F3F, paint the selection. Disable Face paint, Paint - Smooth vertex colors Here's an experiments with maxis eyelashes ( same eyeshape, pose, mesh, no hair ): If you urgently need to use your eyelashes edit with a specific hair, open a blend of these alpha eyelashes, append yours, adjust your mesh to match the curve of alpha ones, then transfer all data from them, check in-game. If there are distortion like on the third image, try to smooth vertex paint in that specific area
