I unmerged a bunch of files (also deleted the merged files) now they are not showing up in my game. The package files are there but it's like they don't exist? When I open the folder in sims 4 mod manager the folders are empty even though all the files are in my mods folder. Should I batch fix? or is there another way to fix without have to redownload everything?

Hi. And that’s why one does not merge files, it does more harm than good. Delete these unmerge ones and recover merged ones from your bin.
If you're unmerging them to get a specific item, you can do it this way: - unless very heavy, put the merged package into C:\Users\---\Documents\Sims 4 Studio\Mods; - restart s4s; - click on CAS, filter the catalog by custom, find the right item, Shift-click on one swatch to select all, Next, save it somewhere; - Tools - Modding - Embed all externally referenced resources. Now this is a standalone item.

Definitely won't do it again lol Unfortunately for me I cleared out my recycle bin and I have been trying for the last two days to recovery the files. I didn't have a reason for unmerging other than I found out after the fact that it's better to leave them unmerged...learned a lot of lessons this week lol... I still have all the files but it's going to be a pain finding and redownloading everything. Is my only option recovering the merged files? Thank you for your help!!

When you were unmerging them, did studio suggest you do a back up? I don’t remember if it does that.
If no and the unmerged files are empty, then probably there’s nothing left to do
