Hi! I have made a dress and it is properly working in game! The problem comes that when Sims create the thumbnail image for it it has a bug in it, which can also be seen when saving the household. I am pretty aware that it is a problem/ bug in the weights/ uv 1, but I am not sure which one. I have tried changing the mesh to another package file, re transfering the uv 1 and the weights in the skirt part of the dress, but still doesn't seem to work. Can anyone give any guidance on it?

Hi. If you switch your game to the highest settings, you may see it in CAS as well. Anyway, this is a problem of exceeded number of vertex groups per meshgroup. Count how many of them there is. If 62, delete skirt bones and normalize them. If more, deleting feet and toe bones most likely will mess up animation at the bottom. Your dress is meant to be split in 4 meshgroups like maxis ones are to fix this.

Hey again, I deleted the vertex group for skirt, both left and right. I tested in game and it worked fine. Another person tried in their computer and the bug persisted. So when I exported the mesh from S4S the skirt vertex groups showed up again. I did not normalize them as you mentiones before as I dont know what that is, can you help me out? Thanks in advance!

Clone a new maxis item and import the blend there
before you do this, normalise weights like this: in blender 2.7x: switch to Weight paint and in Tools panel click on Normalize all, disabling Lock active; in blender 3+: switch to Weight panel, Weights - Normalize all, disable Lock active
