Hi! Is there any reason why s4studio (3.2.2.5) doesn't prevent vertex color while mesh import and even doesn't seem to use it? I'm trying to create a floor lamp and it looks really dark (not the light, but the mesh itself). I tried different blender versions (from 2.70 up to 3.6) and repaint that vertex colors on the clear mesh several times but nothing changes. When I import the mesh to the studio, save and then reopen and export there is NO ANY vertex color at all... Feel kinda desperate cause I tried almost everything, searched for the similar issues... And nothing works.
My previous meshes (candles, lamps, chandeliers) are absolutely fine, and keep their vertex color when exported from the old packages, but I cannot make this new mesh to work bc s4studio just deletes or even doesn't see any vertex color of the new mesh..... As if I forget to paint it at all, so in the game (fully updated) the lamp looks dark no matter what vertex colors I use, what blender version, whatever at all T___T
Any ideas what might be the root of the problem? Maybe I'm doing something wrong? How to import the mesh with existing vertex color to the studio without loosing that vertex color?

Hi. Did you start a package from something that already lights up as you want? If no, try this first. If won’t work, share your blend and package files please

Thanks for the answer! Yes, I already set up the light itself, it's absolutely fine and I like how it looks in game, the trouble is the mesh vertex color only. The object in game looks dark and like there is no vertex color at all (and I suppose it's actually true), bc when I import it to the studio the vertex color just... disappears. Here's the blender file and the package

For your item to light up, you need to start a package from an item that already does that or to add this feature manually in the warehouse. The package you're using was started from a tissue box. The first one is started from a lamp, the second one is yours So you either restart a package from a lamp or add this feature manually. I could only find a tutorial that shows how to remove light, so you can reverse-engineer it

TYSM! You're absolutely a lifesaver! I was pretty sure that the base item was ok since I used it for my all my previous lamps and candles and I have never had such problems before. I just used to paint vertex color in blender and that worked just fine. Well, I haven't created anything for a year or more and obviously missed the moment with the base mesh (actually, I just took the starting base for one of my previous candles for it and I wouldn't even thought about the base as a reason for this issue). Well, you literally showed me the way into the light I'll try to add the appropriate feature to the existing package using the tutorial you linked, thank you! And for the future, how can I find out what the item was based on? To avoid such situations in the future?

Switch to Warehouse tab and select Object definition. This is the name of the original object, you can paste it into the catalog to see what it is if unclear
