Hello, i need help with dds settings for photoshop.
When I want to save a specular map it doesn't become transparent. Can someone please help me...what do I need to change?  |

Hi. Does it have alpha currently? Did you just make it or are you re-saving after re-opening?
Your settings look fine, bc3 is the correct one

Thank you very much for your help.  I think I now know where the mistake was. I had alpha completely white. But if I only make the field white where I want it to be shiny (and the rest black) then it will be transparent where I don't need it. I'm sorry for the inconvenience. I have a new PC and haven't used dds for a long time. Now I remembered again that black, with alpha, means it will be transparent. |
