hello! i made custom food, but i want to put the food on like a chopping board plate. is there a way to change the default plate?

Yes, I think that should be possible. You'll need to export out the whole mesh, then modify/remove the plate with your replacement, then import it back in. Depending on how extensively you want to do it, this may also warrant modifying the other LODs as well.

That way, most of it is configured, rather than having to try & figure out how it's setup. I'm pretty sure most, if not all, tutorials that cover custom food involve cloning an existing food item, then modifying it to how you want it. Eg. srslysims.net/tutorials/recipe_ts4-single/ |

Yes, you can change the default plate for custom food in most game mods or creation tools. Look for a "Serving Plate" or "Serving Dish" option in the food's properties or object settings, then replace it with a chopping board object. If you're using a modding tool like Sims 4 Studio, you can swap out the default object by editing the object tuning or meshes.
