When I followed my UV map to create highlights on my object I ended up getting streaks of the highlight colour in places I hadn't put it, but only in game, not in S4Studio.
I increased the contrast to see it better. I want to sort this out before I get too far with the diffuse. I used "project from view" when putting together the UV map. I don't know if that makes a difference.

Oh, I didn't split sharp edges. Does that mean separating the face they're attached to with P?

When making angular objects like this, you can just use Edge split modifier
