Hello, recently "The Sims Direct Communications" official page on twitter posted this (https://x.com/TheSimsDirect/status/1847387795352146289):
"On Tuesday, Oct 22, a big base game update is coming to #TheSims4. If you use game mods & custom content, you may want to remove and backup save files. This will also give creators time to update their content to prevent potential in-game issues.
📣 For Mod Creators 📣
We have shared the relevant TDESC file in The Sims Discord for mod creators to access & start updating their mods here:"
I've read some posts here about how to update mods, but they are too old, and it's so complex my mind feels like exploding. I wonder if there's an easier way to update the mods, otherwise most of them will be broken after this "big base game update" :(
If somebody knows how to update the mods, please tell me, thank you!! I also have no idea of what is "TDESC file"

Hi. A mod can break in many different ways. If it can be fixed automatically, s4s developer creates a batch fix. In most cases, though, it cannot be. Modders join discord servers and discuss in what ways an update can break mods, as well as help each other fix them. If you have no experience with this or desire to learn beyond fixing mods, it is best to not bother with this.
