Hi. I'm at the stage right now where I am very much overwhelmed with and don't know how to make normal maps at all. It's genuinely my kryptonite ;; However, I tried again today and it honestly looks a lot better than my last attempt, but there is an issue. For some reason, the parts that should have normals don't and the parts that shouldn't-- have them. I'm confused what's happening since the normal map is 1024 x 2048 and directly overlays my diffuse map. I've seen some people talk about that exact same thing happening to them in different parts of S4S. I'd greatly appreciate any help! (Edit: I tried 1024 x 1024, didn't fix it either sadly) Package fileMisc Info: 1. S4S version: 3.2.2.9 (STAR) 2. Blender version: 3.6 3. Issue: Normal map looks strange on model 4. Category: Hat Thumbnail image: ----- ----- This is how it looks like in-game: Thank you in advance for whoever possibly ends up helping.

you said it's a hat, right? when creating normal maps for accessories (hats included) you need to crop the normal map to the exact spot where your texture fits the hat placement on the uv (i'm sorry i'm really bad at explaining things even when i know exactly what i'm talking about). basically you know how to place the mesh's uv you use this Placement map png, right? that divides the whole uv map in different pieces for different accessories/clothes types. you just need to crop the exact area where the hat's texture is placed. it's size should be uhhh 512x256 pixels if i remember well.

Hi. After cloning an item, always Tools - Studio - Export all. Before making a resource, always open and study it first. This will prevent 99% problems.

Thank you very much to both of you! I will try doing as you've said.
