Anyone have a rigged Avatar for MD? The one I'm using must be corrupted or something because it has an invalid size path and when I import it into blender it is HUGE! The file I've been using is from LoubelleSims which I'm guessing is obsolete now.

Hi lovelillie, MD is a 3D editor for making meshes that could be unwrapped and mapped in Blender from what I've seen of meshes made with it. It will not allow you to weight those meshes how Sims 4 needs the item weighted, it will not allow you to unwrap the second UV that Sims 4 requires, it doesn't seem to do vertex painting that is needed for Sims 4, and it seems that it often creates meshes that have a poly count which is inappropriate for games. I think the deficiencies it has could be compensated for in Blender, that is, I think you could use Blender to lower the poly count, map your first UV, vertex paint, and unwrap a second UV for a mesh made in MD. There are tutorials here in the CAS section showing how to do all of those things. If you run into questions using those tutorials I hope you will feel welcome to post in the tutorial thread or open up a thread in the Creator help section showing your project, discussing what step you're on, and explaining the question in more detail.  |

I just tried loading into MD with that avatar and it's having some issues. Maybe my MD is corrupt? What version are you using?

I'm not pretty sure but there is a on tutorial with this for ts3 so you just can think this into the ts4 way to do it. I'll link it here. |

I’ve just recently learned about Marvelous Designer and I think it’ll be something fun to try out.
