One of my African Sims is Fatou Sembène, a West African artist and fashion entrepreneur. She is named after Ousmane Sembène, the Senegalese director, artist and women's rights activist - also known as the “father of African film” and one of his characters played by Fatoumata Coulibaly. {What Fatou stands for - trigger alert, against abuse} And if you've made it this far, just for information's sake and to raise awareness, I based my Sim on Ousmane Sembène's character because he addressed and condemned the controversial issue of FGM - if you don't know what it is, that's the ritual cutting of little girls' private parts, which is not only done in Africa (over 80% of girls in my country of birth), but is being practiced legally in the United States (in 27 states there is still no legislation to prohibit it). There's a link here(http://msmagazine.com/blog/2015/03/14/female-genital-mutilation-isnt-just-an-african-problem/) if you want to learn more about it. Thank you for listening and sorry if I hurt your sensitivity ! If you want any of the cc I used, I listed the cc for Fatou here on my tumblr post and regarding the furniture, here is the list.

I love Fatou's shop and she's an amazing person, a very modern African woman far away from the clichés too much shown.( she's exactly as Sénégal is becoming currently).Plus she surely speaks French as I do :D.

Thank you all! Asyli that's very kind of you and Ghost00 you flatter me, I'm just practicing. @simsophonique indeed Fatou does speak French (I don't speak much French unfortunately, I grew up in the English part of Senegambia) and it's nice that you see in her what Senegal is becoming, she's perhaps not what people expect to see, but every day it's more and more of a reality. It's a big challenge to "integrate" into a globalized world yet retain the uniqueness of one's culture, as I am sure you know.

Here is a markedly less common African woman, she fits in more with someone who moved to the UK during the raver craze in the 90s and listened to Tricky, Prodigy and Goldie. I don't know how I got round to creating her but I needed a very unique DJ for Get Together, plus I wanted to make some posters to decorate the clubhouse, so I made a Sim and started making mockups of her in Photoshop. It will probably end up being a cc poster too that I'll share, but for the moment it's an edited pic of my Sim lol. It's the same Sim, just different hairstyle and makeup. Well. Electric dreads, cybergoggles and the works.

Super creative! The sim, the store and her bio. Love those posters, they could even fit in with an apocalyptic or even a star wars bar lawl. Anyway I love them!

Thank you jkarin11! I love Star Wars, science fiction in general and steampunk so I do like incorporating that sometimes. Thank you too sammoyke! I based the trait presentation on a free template I saw somewhere, if you like I can look for it and send you a link. Very kind of you Kiara, I'm a big fan of your work and website especially your custom content for children.

I just see this thread! It's fantastic. I love all of it. Very nice job in the sim (she's beautiful) and in the interior decoration.
