the other part stuck in 50%. oh cmon guys i cant have that much broken ccs. i dont want to lose my cc. what am i gonna do? (i have 6gb ccs and now i have only 4gb. pls someone help. i really needed. how can i learn which ccs are not merged?) My advice would be to start out the process of elimination by item/object type. So, make multiple merged packages based on type; CAS, buy, build. This way you will at least know what type of cc it is that's causing problems. I think that's a good starting point in pinpointing the culprit. Of course, this method is assuming the problem item(s) is/are limited to just a single type. It's worth a try, though. Once you know the type of the bad cc, you can continue the elimination process with just that type of cc.

I've never done this, but I can't think of any reason why it would cause a problem. I recommend backing up all your files before doing the merge (copy them and paste them into a different folder before merging the originals - just make sure the folder you save the copies into is not your Sims 4/Mods folder). If you try it, please post back to let me know how it went. Alright, so I did a little experiment. I merged a bunch of CC from Peacemaker IC together, including already-merged versions of most of his furniture sets. I ended up with a merged package of roughly 2.5 GB in size. Every item contained within the packages that make up the merged package shows up in the game. Other than that, apart from the game taking longer to start up, there seem to be no other side-effects once loaded beyond the main menu into gameplay; loading screens between lots do not take longer than before the big merged package was added. So once in gameplay, everything is/runs as normal/before. I think the time the game takes to start up can be lessened yet by using multiple smaller merged packages instead of putting everything into a single huge merged package. The Sims 3 merged all of your installed sims3packs into files between 200-300 MB in size each. I think that's a good starting point for me to continue testing.

I just wanted to thank all of the kind folks that gave their time and talent for giving all of us such an easy to use tool as Sims4Studio. I just finished merging 22,821 package files of 80 gigs down to 337 files of 40 gigs, which cut my load time from 15+ minutes to 2 1/2! Here is what I do, in case you're curious: 1. I download all of my cc and mods to a download folder so that I can keep track of what I have downloaded. 2. I copy all of the .package files to a staging folder. 3. I run all of the Sims4Studio batch fixes on the custom content in the staging folder. 4. I merge the packages in the staging folder by creator name and copy to the game folder. That's it.

Are there any .package files that cannot (or should not) be merged?

Don't merge mods that affect game play, like UI cheat extenion, wrench icon hider, etc etc. These most likely require frequent updates and are better left out when merging.

I'm not sure if this has been asked yet but I cant be bothered to go through 7 pages of messages so
I have 810 pieces of cc but whenever I go to merge it (I've been able to merge all my cc absolutely fine up until now) I always get the error "____ out of 810 failed to merge" usually its only around 100 but this time it was 714 out of 810 that failed to merge. I've tried reinstalling s4s, I've tried using a different mods folder etc. I've tried everything but still come up with the same error. If anyone can help me with this that'd be great, thanks!

Hi, everyone. I'm new, and I just installed the Sims 4 Studio so that I can merge my custom content. However, when I open Sims 4 Studio, it says, "Unable to find The Sims 4. Please configure your game path." After clicking 'Ok', it shows the settings. I open up The Sims 4 Path, and am not sure what to do next. So, I just click 'Open', and a message pops up saying, "An error has occurred. Please report this. Thanks " I've been searching up this for about 3 hours now and really trying my best to understand everything but I keep on coming up with no results and going off on tangents. Any help is appreciated, and I do apologize if I do not understand what you are saying, for I am not much of a 'techy talker'. Thank you so much to anyone who attempts to solve my situation! <3 (By the way, I have the most recently updated Sims 4 installed, and I repaired it as well. I am not sure how to fix my error, so please help me.)

Hi aspirants , it's difficult to say what is going on without more information. I've never had a package fail to merge in all the testing I've done. If you take a look in your Documents/Sims 4 Studio/Logs folder, there may be an error message related to the merge failure that could help get to the bottom of the issue. Otherwise, the only thing I can suggest is sending me some of the packages that failed to merge so they can be examined to see if there is a consistent pattern to the merge failure. Hi eccedentesiast, what is the Sims 4 path that you have and what is the error message you receive? If the only message you're seeing is the "please report this" error, please look in your Documents/Sims 4 Studio/Logs folder for the error message that is reported there.

orangemittens~ My Sims 4 Path is: Macintosh HD > Applications > The Sims 4.app When I check in my log folder, there is no error message. Am I doing something wrong?

Hi eccedentesiast, which version of Studio do you have (name and number)?

orangemittens~ Sims 4 Studio 1.1.0.5 (Appletini) Also, I just added a bunch of CC, and my game won't start up. In the message for the start up, I looked through and found that it said, "(high number) Stack overflow". Does this mean that I should merge my CC? Is there another way to merge my CC without Sims 4 Studio? I'm quite eager to play the Sims 4.

If your game won't start after adding a bunch of new CC items, I would suspect there is a broken item in your Mods folder rather than that there is too much CC there. You can do the fifty-fifty routine to find the bad content.
To investigate the problem with Studio running, right-click the Sims 4.app and select "Show package content." Open the Contents folder and make sure the file called Default.ini is in there.

Okay. Where do I get to Sims 4.app? Is it in the path for The Sims 4 when I'm trying to configure my game path? Or is it from Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 4? I can find the folder for The Sims 4, but I cannot find Sims 4.app. Are those the same things? I do apologize for not being so educated in this.
If you don't mind me asking-what is the fifty-fifty routine?

Is there any way to "unmerge" a merged package?
