I'm new to creating meshes in blender and I've got everything down (I think) except for UV Mapping. I shortened a dress and I tried importing the mesh to s4s but t's missing a uv map, how do I fix that? Thanks!

If this is an EA dress from Sims 4 that you shortened it should already have a UV map. Can you describe the process you used a little more and also where did the mesh come from?

I opened it up in blender and used the circle select tool to cut it to the size I wanted it at and then used the same tool to remove the flowers on the straps. I also imported a nude bottom mesh from the studio because some of the leg was missing. That's all I really did, I just saved and tried importing it to the studio but it came up with an error message which I posted to the forum earlier
