I admit I may have gotten overconfident. Things were going well, I was switching between editing the mesh and the texture and suddenly this happened: As you can see, it is not happening in blender, so I'm at a bit of a loss as to how to fix it. Here's a link to the package file if anyone wants to take a look, which would be appreciated. I've been fussing with it for an hour or so to no avail.

Turn her around in blender, its on the other side, you can see it just fine. Well its sort of on both sides, re export the blend from the package to make sure its updated.

It's not on either side in my blender file, I checked. That's really odd. It'll try exporting it under a different name.
ETA: Nope, it's not showing up in an exported file either.
ETA2:I'm thinking it might be the second uv map since I'm getting some other deformation I just noticed, I'll try fixing that.
ETA3:Alright, I noticed something that might give someone more knowledgeable than me a clue. When I set the head slider to its narrowest, the black spikes disappear.

Hmmm. Well, I honestly cannot figure it out, I'm not seeing that from the flawed package when I import into blender. I did however find an earlier version of the mesh that doesn't have this issue, so I guess I can work off that.
(Oh, when I said more knowledgeable in the above post, I just meant more knowledgeable than me, meaning anybody, I'm very thankful you're willing to look at this. I just realized that may have come across as insulting.)

Excellent, now I feel like less of a tool, lol. Also, I think I got the hair to work, although I had to remove the hair elastic as it was not playing well with the sliders. There is bit of clipping if you max out the sliders, but I don't think it's too bad and I think if I change the bone assignments I won't get the stiff behaviour I want from the hair, correct me if I'm wrong? Now to make it work with hats and fuss with the texture, should be fun.
