This mini-tutorial will show you how to find the ID of an object definition when you need that ID to use in a tuning mod.
What you will need
Sims 4 Studio
1. Open Sims 4 Studio and select Create 3D Mesh under the Object button. Click the Object button. When the thumbnail list page comes up scroll to the item that you need the object definition ID for. If you know the type of item it is you can limit the search by typing that into the search bar. If you know the exact in game name of the item you can limit your search by that too. Once you see the item you need the ID for hover over it with your mouse. When you hover over it the name and ID will show up in a box next to the item you're hovering over. The portion highlighted in red below is the ID.
Also note that every non-base game item has an icon next to it so you can easily tell if the item is a base game item or not.
