How to make a Backdrop ReplacementIf you're one of those people who don't like the default backdrops in The Sims 4 and want to change it to something else or just add some details, then this tutorial is for you! I will show you step by step how to make change the default City Skyline Backdrop to that same backdrop but with a little detail added in the sky. • As saving as PNG is much easier and faster then saving as DDS, here is what you have to do following my tutorial: In Studio export the Background textures as PNG file instead of DDS. At 4.25 minutes, you can just go to file, save as and save as PNG file (Format: png). No need to do anything with the channels tab. Start the video again at 5.31 minutes to copy the zeppelin to the night skyline. At 6.20 go to file, save as and save as PNG. Start the video at 7.46 minutes and continu the tutorial. If you got any questions about it, please ask them here in this topic or in the comment section on Youtube. I got a lot more tutorials on my youtube channel and there're going to be many more. So if you don't want to miss them, please subscribe! If you want to have an overview of all The Sims 4 Tutorials I made on my Youtube Channel, please take a look at my BakieGaming Video Index here on the Forum. You will find links to all tutorials here on the forum and links to all tutorials that aren't on this forum in there.

Hi. I made a backdrop replacement for Windenburg and it doesn't show up. I went into S4S, clicked override, searched for matte and found the backdrop called "mountain range 1". Exported the texture, edited it, imported it back again and it shows up fine in S4S. But when I go in game, the default backdrop is still showing. I tried deleting the cache files in the documents folder thinking it could have something to do with refresh and nothing. It's still there. Does anyone have any idea what could be going on? Here's a picture of the backdrop I'm talking about: Salvar

Hello Lanti , I just took a look at it and discovered that it probably also worked in your case, but that you were looking at the wrong background in game. The background you changed will change the background of the neigbourhood with the windmills on it, so the one at the top. If you want to change the background of the one behind the village, you will need to use another background in Studio. To find that one type 16FB3 into the search bar. That backdrop is called "Rural_01_Mountain_01. Then you will find 3 textures, you will need the 3rd one. Try again and let me know if it works this time!
