Is there a tutorial where we can use props with the poses for Sims 4? Is it like the Sims 3 tutorial? Or is it a whole lot different?

Please help me, I made a pose and it is the materialistic pose I overrode. I changed the events (it is a clip) and I changed the duration and the timecodes. In game it does my pose perfectly untill at the very end it put my sim in the default pose blender starts you out with. Why?

Hi blahblahchelsey, welcome to Studio forums. I have not written a tutorial like that for Sims 4 yet nor have I seen that anyone else has either.
sweetsorrowsims, your first question sounds like maybe you didn't set a keyframe on the last part of your pose. The second question is probably related to the Event/Effect that clip has. You should be able to make it go away using the same method you use to make other effects go away.
Hi ansett4sims, welcome to Studio forums. I don't understand the question. If you're distorting the model in Blender it is, most likely, not going to look right in the game. You need to make your changes to the rig in a way that does not distort the model.
Hi vipsamoo, welcome to Studio forums. If you're setting keyframes on the Sim's face then the Sim's face is going to perform the pose it was in when you set the keyframes. If you do not set keyframes it will retain whatever pose the original clip has it performing if you're working directly with an EA clip.

I would be very grateful if you tell me or show me how to remove setting keyframes from the Sim's face :'(

orangemittensThank you for the quick reply! The "1st Question" I asked I'm pretty sure I played around with it to much and its a total lose. The "2nd Question" I had the effect time code set to 0 like the tutorial said and changed it to a # above the set time of the pose/animation and that worked - no more ring. Now I have my sim doing the pose perfectly until the very end when she goes back to that default pose in blender. I by accident set a key frame past the allotted time and do not know how to unset it? If you want I can send you the pose by pm?

@sweetsorrosims Just copy and paste the pose into the spot of said default pose to make it like the rest of the pose this what i do so things will be very fluid

Thank you heliel22 but everytime I try to copy and paste anything in blender it does not work for me. Also I found out how to unset a keyframe in blender but the default pose still shoes up at the end of my pose in cas, in blender it looks fine.

Hello! I've tried to make a couple pose and it seemingly works when I test it with a pose player, however when they try to do the action they just stand there. I'm not sure what is wrong >< The Pose Package

Update: please see my post at sims4studio.com/post/26238/thread
Hi folks, I am trying to give my Sim a surprised expression in animation and it's spoiled with her closed mouth
[edit] problem seems to be in getting the package (and its imported blender file) to tell I the game to override the closed jaw position normally used to allow the Sims to talk based on dialog auto-generated by the game. [was: I assume it's a conversion (import?) problem] since I can:
- export to (fufu508_a2a_seated_intimate_tickle_succeed_y.package)
- view in blender 2.70a (fufu508_a2a_seated_intimate_tickle_succeed_y_test01.blend) and the expression is as expected, with jaw dropped.
- import (fufu508_a2a_seated_intimate_tickle_succeed_y_test01.blend into fufu508_a_pushUps_loop_standard_x-tickle-y-surprise.package)
- Add the package to Mods folder in Sims 4
- view in Sims 4 - please see screen shots, comparing:
Maxis original "seated tickle" animation using the "Tickle Mercilessly" interaction in game
and
Sim doing "push-ups" using imported "seated tickle" animation
Has anyone been able to import animations with open mouth into a package and have the mouth show up as expected in Sims 4?
Thanks!

Hmm, perhaps this is a Maxis issue. When I open my customized "push ups" package in S4S Joy and export the blender file, the resulting blender file has the expected expressions. [edit] It looks like a problem with the game itself I guess. To be sure, I tried with all other content removed from ...Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4\Mods and still see the closed mouth issue. If anyone else has made this work that would be great. I just found this post by OM about jaw movement, so I am going to try including the exported (unmodified) package back in for the "seated tickle" and see if my problem is due to the lack of SuppressLipSync event which is presumably the case in the push ups animation. Confirmed: OM's post is the root of my problem too. I was able to see the expected jaw animation when I copied into the Mods folder the "seated tickle" package I exported with Studio. I am going to see if I can add SuppressLipSync event to the e.g. push ups package. As I expected, unfortunately Sims 4 crashed when I had my Sim do push ups while my push ups package was in the Mods folder (with SuppressLipSync event added after importing the "seated tickle" blend file into the package).
