Hey guys. I'm trying to convert the bunny hat from the sims 3. I removed everything but the ears and cloned the base from another headband but it won't sit on the head properly. When my model moves, the ears still kinda "float" and I know that's with the bone assignment, right? Well I checked it over SEVERAL times and it looks like all the bones are correctly assigned :( I converted another accessory from the sims 3 and got it working perfectly (it was just too high of a poly to release) but this one I'm having so many problems with. here is my package file: linkand here is my .blend file: link

Hello! Well I've never tried with CAS objects before but I've read some tutorials about it, hope i can help you. I looked your project: First of all your mesh was really high, over the sims head so I brought back a little. Second, the joints were not assigned properly. So here what you need to do. Enter edit mode, press A to select everything and then go the triangule icon in blender, click the b_head joint and click assign. If you change to Weight paint it should look full red. Then save the blender file and import to S4S all the lods. HERE you have your project file fixed and HERe the blender file if you want to take a look by yourself The ears look super cute by the way Works fine! Edit: *it seems theres a problem with the textures if the sim wears other accesories, maybe someone could take a look at that since i've no idea in that aspect*

I found THIS tutorial from Brujah, you need to map the textures to fit in the correct area. That should fix it! Good luck.

Oops, I didn't know anyone answered this already before I got back, either way right? lol I originally misunderstood what you were asking, and ended up fixing your bunny ears as a hat (headband confused me), but apparently that is not how you want it to be categorized in CAS correct? So all I did was clone a bracelet from the base game, import your mesh and diffuse, and reassigned it to gloves. For the mesh I didn't really do anything aside from add a uv_1, assigned the weights from a hat to it, and adjusted the vertex paint color. This way, you don't necessarily need to adjust their position in Blender as the sims' hair will cover it up, unless you're using a low cut, like a fade or bald hair. [ Blend File] and [ .package File]

Kiara I've honestly never worked with cas items, I just tried to fix it based on a tutorial I read. You bring it to a next level that would be for sure more helpful. So thank you so much for taking a look too. Glad you did.
