Hi AnnArchy, could you update to Studio 3.0.1.6 and try again? I just zeroed out the template key numbers of your item's footprint using that version with no problem. I'm hoping this will work for you also.

I reinstalled S4S, and installed the latest version Harmony 3.0.1.7, still no luck. I tried changing the footfrint of other packages following the same method and I got the same result. As soon as I type in a 0 into the fields, they turn red. I save the package and when I reopen them, the numbers are back. Is it really supposed to stay all 0s or perhaps I'm mistaken and should make further tests? I'm thinking that removing the footprint will make the item go over other items (or sims) without having to use MOO, right? Thank you once again

Hi Lanti, I've been thinking about this issue for several days. I am able to change the numbers of your package's footprint template key without any problem. They should all stay 0's and in the game the item should go over other items. Can you try again making sure you are using zeros and not letter O to fill the field. The letter O will cause that red box to show up and Studio will not save them. The field needs to have zeros.

Hi, orangemittens. It worked now, all I had to do was put in another 0 after clicking outside the field once the first 0 was in. I hadn't tried clicking out and in again, and that solved it. Must be something with my PC, I don't know lol but thank you so much for your time, the pillows are working now.

Hi, my objects doesn't have a footprint tab. Where can I find it. image: imgur.com/krzOvR3If you cloned your object as a "Standalone recolor" you won't be able to edit the footprint or rig in the .package. To do this you need to clone as a "Create 3d mesh"

My mistake was that I was working in a retexture, not on a "Create 3D mesh" or "clone selective", when I've changed to one of this the "adjust footprint to fit mesh" option shows up! Thanks again!

avtsims, the mac version can edit the resources in this tutorial in the Warehouse of an existing package that has a footprint. If you meant to ask if the mac version has a "Create 3D mesh" option to include a footprint resource at the time the package is created, then no, the mac version does not currently have it but it will be added soon.

Thank you for this. I had two deco archways that I used to make a vanilla arch more attractive, and when I realized my sims couldn't go through one, I swapped it for the other and was very disappointed to learn it had the same issue. Now the first is 'go-throughable'. With the second one, however, I have a similar issue to padyluppet. Changing the numbers to 0 results in the item being removed from all but a couple areas in my house, and when I try to place them back, they're red, will not snap to the wall, and say 'system error' when I click to place. I opened it in S4S again, and found that when I click "edit items" next to "object polygons", the left side of the pop-up is empty. No intersection flags listed, and nothing else either. I'm not worried about being able to intersect items however, I only want to be able to place the deco arch around a door and have my sims be able to walk through said door. Any recommendations?

On the topic of intersection flags please could someone explain the difference in role/function between IntersectionType and IntersectionFlags since they appear to have the same set of flag labels? I gather if I wish to allow an intersection I use one or more of the IntersectionFlags, so what does the other set do?

Im also trying to remove a footprint from an decorative arch so my sim can pass trough it however it doesnt seem to work i keep getting the System error thing and the arch is not placeable as an decal anymore :( EDIT : NEVERMIND I WAS ABLE TO FIX IT ))

Hi there, I am trying to remove a footprint from an light using this method but when I go into the warehouse tab, there is not a line for the footprint. How should I proceed? Thanks so much!
