How do you zoom in on a specific body part. such as the face or hands? Whenever I zoom in, it just shows me the bellybutton.

Hi okayvibes . When you open the pose in blender, click on the Rig and then click on the Pose. In order to make Blender zoom on specific parts you need to select the bone and then click the dot (.) on numpad (not the one that is on the main keyboard). How to select the bone, click C, it will activate circle selection, you will see the circle under cursor. You can make this circle bigger or smaller by scrolling mouse wheel. Move your cursor over the face and click left button of the mouse, you will see that black dots on sim's face turned blue it means that these bones are selected, click right button of the mouse to quit selection mode (the circle will disappear). Now click the dot (.) on numpad and blender will zoom on the area with selected bones. To deselect them just click A (they will turn black). All zooming/rotating can be from numpad, just try all keys from 0-9, +, - and . so you will know what they do.

I don't have a mouse at the moment. Can I move the sim with the notepad? It seems impossible!

jacksonpos blender works on shortcuts pretty much and with mouse. But you can set up your own shortcuts, please see blender manual. I would say that it's not impossible but using mouse is much easier than doing everything with notepad.

Another question; not sure which thread to ask this! I need help with add pose pack icon images!
I have updated drivers, installed the appropriate plug, and I am still unable to 'save my pose pack image as a .dds'! Any help? I have Photoshop, Corel, and Gimp -- all three programmes supposedly support the .dds plugin, however, I am not finding that extension available when I go to 'save as'... I would really like my pose packs to have icon images :( Any other way for the game to accept images other than .dds???
THANK YOU!

jellysimwich you do not need to save them as a .dds they can be .png Just make sure they are the appropriate size and it should be no problem.

So I originally tried using .png and it does show up on my Sims 4 Studio but once the pose pack is put into gameplay, the icons, are not there... I followed a tutorial that recommended doing icons at 64x64. Is this the correct size? If it is, I'm not sure what I'm missing. Do you have any more ideas?

Thank you again!

Unfortunately, it has not solved my icon problem! :'( Should I make a new package entirely? I've just been overwriting...

jellysimwich if that didn't solve your problem, also check if your game is up to date as well. If it is than yes it wouldn't hurt to make a new package.

So I'm running Studio 2.7.0.9 Jackpot and Blender 2.77, which are the latest versions I could find. I tried to make a new package, and now, Studio is telling me that it cannot run the newest version of Blender and is forcing me to revert back to 2.70 in order to continue. I'm contemplating on going back to the older version of Blender. Is there a trick to this issue? Haha... :'( I'm not sure what changed since last night when I was messing with both programmes; I thought they had worked! But now I'm getting that message from Studio.

I went back to 2.7 and now when I try to open files I'm getting a message saying another programme is running them (so I can't open them in Studio). This has got way worse than it originally was lol! I just wanted icons, haha. My files and poses were working fine before.
