Hi blade, fullbright doesn't really make a glow that extends past the object the shader is applied to. To have something that really glows you might consider using a lamp as your base item. What is it you're trying to make?

For a neon glow like that I think the closest thing the game has is the scrolling lights shader that is used on some of the GTW neon signs. If you go with that the color appears to be affected by one of the DST images present only in the Warehouse...you can export it, edit it, and import it from there.

If you don't want them to take on animation when upgraded you could probably shed the ability to be upgraded with a tuning mod. Other than that shader or using a lamp I'm not aware of any other item in the game that you could use for the effect that you want. I could be overlooking something of course. Take a look at items in the game...do any of them have properties like what you're looking for? If so that's what you should use for your clone.

Yes, someone here made an item like that. IIRC she cloned a base game sign and changed the shader to the one used by the GTW neon signs. She then changed the shader parameters to match those used by the GTW neon signs.

In looking at the neon sign it appears that the animation that occurs when the item is upgraded is editable in the shader. Try cloning a GTW neon light (I cloned the Tra La La sign) and before adding swatches go to the Warehouse and click the Model LOD resource line on the left. Then click Edit Items in the Meshes section on the right: In the Editing Meshes box choose ScrollingLight and click the Edit Items button in the Material section: Click the VariantID for the Upgraded version on the left. Click the Edit Items button in the Material section on the right. Click the LightsAnimSpeed line on the left. Replace the number in the Value [0] line with 0 so that it matches the LightsOn speed. Click the Save button in each pop up box and this will return you to the main Warehouse page. Click the Model resource on the left and then the Edit Items in the Lods section. Choose the MediumDetailFlags line on the left and then click the Edit Items button in the Meshes section. (This is the lower LOD that is seen from distances that aren't right up close so you will want to edit this to match the high LOD). This will bring up the Editing Meshes box for the lower LOD. You will see the same shaders there that you saw in the high LOD. Select the Scrolling Light shader on the left and Edit Items in the Material section on the right. This will bring you to another box like the one above that has all the variant ID's. Choose the upgraded variant as you did above. When the shader parameter list comes up change the anim speed parameter to 0 as you did above. Save all the pop ups to return to the main Warehouse page and then save the .package. I believe that this will turn off the animation speed increase that occurs when the item is upgraded although I've never tested this myself. Give it a try and let me know how it goes.

They don't need to have more than a plane for a shader to be displayed on them. I know people have successfully edited the anim speed on this shader to speed it up. The only open question is whether zero-ing that field out will turn it off.
