Hi! So I've been working with S4S several months now and I love it! I'm learning so much and having a blast with it all and have found most of my questions in the many tutorials on this site (which by the way are wonderfully written!) or other sites when my question wasn't just S4S related. I try to look it all up before I ask because normally I can find the answer. Now having said that, I can't seem to find an answer for these. If there is an answer out there I missed please link it to me and I'm sorry I missed it!
1. When recoloring a hair, or other CAS item as a standalone, does it really matter which color I choose? This one I think I've answered myself through just working on different things, and I'm thinking that it does not, I see where it would be important for overrides but not standalones, but I'd like to know for sure.
2. I get that "Swatch Thumbnail Colors" changes "Swatch Thumbnails" and see the change in game. I also see what "Catalog Thumbnail" changes in game. However, I can't find what "Custom Thumbnail" changes in game? I've made a quick picture diagram mostly for myself to better see what I was looking for so I'll add it here too. hehe.
Thanks in advance!

1. No It does not matter
2. Custom Thumbnail will replace the color swatch thumbnail if you chose to make one

To expand on #2, custom thumbnails are the ones that show something other than solid color or multiple solid color stripes. They show up in the same swatch thumbnail place and look like tiny pieces of fabric. Also, welcome to the forums

Thank you for replying MisterS & Orangemittens. Though I require just a little more help.
#1 Resolved! Yay!
#2 ok, that's what I was thinking it does, but either I'm doing something wrong or it doesn't work for hair and eyebrows. It does work for necklaces. Not sure about other CAS items as I've only tried Hair, Eyebrow and Necklaces. I also tested a painting I had made and it works on that as well. Is this a possible error on my part? If so I can upload the package for you to look at. Oh and just fyi I delete localthumbcache before testing my packages.

Hi Chami98Minds, hair and eyebrows work differently than other items do because there are shared swatch thumbnails used by all hairs/eyebrows. You aren't doing anything wrong but custom swatch thumbnails are only going to work for standard items (like accessories and objects).
