A beta version of Sims 4 Studio is one that contains all the features of the community tested version and has additional features that have not yet been community tested. Some of these features may be changes to the user interface while others allow you to create content Studio couldn't create before. Any additions or changes due to EA patches, expansions, or game packs will be made to the beta version only. All of these changes and additions are alpha tested but the period of alpha testing is very brief, in some cases less than a day, so that the community has access to anything new quickly.
This version counts on the Sim 4 Community to help us develop Studio by reporting any problems encountered when using it. This version also counts on the community to report changes to the user interface that are not helpful or, worst case scenario, detrimental. If you use the beta version and encounter a bug please report that. If you use the beta version and don't like an interface change please report that too. All beta versions of Sims 4 Studio are available to everyone.
What this adds up to is that you will have access to anything new Studio can do right away. The downside is that it isn't completely tested yet so you may encounter bugs. If you use this version to create content you want to share you should game test it before sharing and even ask a friend or two to game test it also. This site has a forum you can use to ask others to test things for you as well. Any bug reported will be fixed and all reports are appreciated.
Happy modding
