Those aren't shiny bits, they're seams. I think the problem is that hair (the bun from Get To Work). I had the same exact issue with my frankenmesh that used that bun, even though the mesh itself had no holes. sims4studio.com/thread/2542/tiny-slits-hair-meshI believe OM suggested manually merging the vertices where the seams appear because removing doubles doesn't really do the job. Personally, I just released it as it was.

Alright, I tried merging the vertices like you said, and that doesn't really seem to have fixed it.
I also went around the edge where the shiny bits appeared and selected the option to "clear seam", but that didn't do anything either.

I don't thing those are seams.. but a separation between the top and the rest of the hair. Maybe try moving all the top hair / bun a little down. How does it look in blender?

When I said seams, I meant separation lines between mesh parts. I didn't mean Blender UV seams, so clearing those wouldn't have done anything anyway. If manually merging vertices hasn't fixed it, I don't know what else to suggest.
