Hi all, it was recently brought to my attention that One Drive has not only eliminated the option to shorten links, but the changes they've made have rendered many, if not all, previously shortened links non-functional. I mention this because Studio's tutorial on using One Drive used to suggest using shortened One Drive links as a means of tracking download count, and I'm concerned that people have taken this advice and now have broken links. I just got finished updating 8 pages worth of links in my Creator Studio so if you end up having to update your links you aren't alone.
This move on One Drive's part was an unannounced surprise, and was, apparently, triggered by the discovery that editable links shortened in this fashion were vulnerable to hackers. Studio's tutorial instructed to make sure the links were view-only so hacking should not have been an issue if you were following that but, nevertheless, the powers that be at One Drive have nixed all those links anyway. I apologize for being the bearer of this very unwelcome news, and I would like to thank everyone who took the time to let me know my links were broken so I could fix them. My understanding is that the administrators of One Drive are searching for a solution to the painfully long links One Drive currently produces. Even though the One Drive links are quite long at this point in time, you can still use these links if you're sharing uploads of any kind at Studio forums.

Im getting 4 or 5 emails a day about broken links, just going to remove them all and put them somewhere else, not a happy camper I tell ya.

I'm not happy either. I can understand if they put out a notification letting people know about the issue so everyone could take steps to lengthen links or make their shortened links read-only...but to just zap everything in one fell swoop without warning...grr.

I am glad I am not using One Drive. But I hate it when stuff gets changed without noticed.

Thanks for the heads up, orangemittens. I noticed that this wasn't a feature any more, but did not know that the old links would no longer work.

Hi simsluvr35, welcome to Studio forums. All the links in the AOM Studio should now be working...give the pose pack downloads a try, and if they won't work please let me know

Thanks OM, I too noticed that the feature was gone but until today didn't realise some of my links were down.

OM I have had a mail from One drive stating they are reducing the storage size form 15gb to 5gb! It doesn't effect me but I thought I would say something in case it someone was interested.

I've received this message also. While disappointing, this change is not likely to affect most people who are using their One Drive to store their Sims 4 uploads. I have the bulk of the items I've made so far on my One Drive, and I have only used 0.1 GB.
