I figured out how to remove the white but the glowing pieces is not lining up with the mesh. I don't get what is going on or how to fix it. Not sure where I am going wrong.

When you edited your first post, did you removed the .package? I haven't try making cloth with an emision map but I'm sure if you post it again someone can help you.

Take a look at THIS. ...If you are working on a project that in the texture doesn't have anything above the head you have to use 1024*1024. ( like a top, a bottom or shoes) If your project is an accessory you can use the 1024*2048...

This might be silly of me but, have you tried using the alien outfit package as a base? I export the base texture, export the glowing dds. I open the alien texture on PS, and paste over it my texture. Unlock from background the alien one, move my texture down. Open the glow dds, grab both the other layers and paste them over the glow dds and match the alien txt to it's glowing partner. hide the alien. Where my texture is, it's where the glowing dds should be.

Why would you move your texture down? Won't that change the placement of the .dds on the sim?

I have looked at this a little deeper now and the placement of the glow texture is incorrect. Click images to see larger. Where it is now. Where it needs to be.
