I have made a brand new mesh from a 3d object I got online and it looks good and it works perfectly fine in game. The problem is that since it's a new mesh I need to make a brand new texture for it but there are some issues when following the Sims 4 studio tutorial. sims4studio.com/thread/4001/mapping-works-map-bake-cube I'm not sure if i'm using the wrong tutorial if so is there another one I could get but if that not the issue I think it may be the object itself. The problem shows up on Step 5 since when I do it this comes up. And I have no idea what happened and why it appears like that Here are some photo's of the mesh with edit mode on So can it be fixed or is there a different way i'm suppose to make the texture.

That UV is ridiculous for that type of object (that btw has so much extra geometry).. I would suggest starting from scratch with the UV and doing it yourself if you want the item. Here's a tutorial with the basics of uv unwrapping. But any tutorial in general, or in youtube will work since this is not specifically made for sims 4 but a general feature of blender.

As inabadromance said before, there's no need for such a poly count in a simple object like that one. You can easily re-create the item using 3d primitives as a start. This objects downloaded form internet are for rendering porpuses and they need to be as detailed as posible for that reason. However Sims 4 is just a game. Firstly it won't handle it right and secondly there's no need for it. The object will not be the main point of the game and you won't focus on it too much while playing.
