I'm a newbie to S4S. I downloaded v. 2.7.0.5 (Jackpot). My first attempt was to re-categorize a cc chair for Dine Out. I got instructions off of a Tumblr post this morning. They must be for older versions, because they mention going into the "Warehouse" tab and change the tag value from "0" to "26625". I found my way to the "Venue" tab in (Jackpot). There isn't a check box for "Restaurants" Just for Café and Bar. Do I use them to make the chair show up in a restaurant? Or is there some other way to do this? Thanks for the help.

mebagl15 you need to add two tags. To re-categorize CC you need to add 26625 but to make chair work as dining chair you need to add another tag - 1006 and for bar stool 1008. Can you provide a link to that tumblr post? Here is what you need to do. Open the file, click on Warehouse tab then click column Type to sort all resources in alphabet order. You need to edit some numbers in all ObjectCatalog resources (you will have as many ObjectCatalog as many recolors you have in the package). Take a look at this picture, I had 4 ObjectCatalog resources. On the right side there are 2 tabs, data and text. You need to be on Data tab and scroll down to find the line Tags and next to the word "Tags" you will see "edit items. Click on "Edit items" and another window will be open. Click blue button "Add" to add new tags. On the right side you will get empty fields "Tag" and "Tag Value". Click "Tag Value" line and enter number 1006 for the chair and Tag will change to Func_diningchair. If you want to add this item to Restaurant collection, then click "Add" and in in Tag Value enter 26625 Press blue button "Save". If you close this window without saving all entered tags will be lost. You can either save a package or continue editing other ObjectCatalog resources and save in the end.

To moderators, I wanted to ask if it's needed I can write tutorial for editing custom chairs for compatibility with Dine Out. I wrote it for Russian website while you are working on batch fixer (are you working on batch fixer ?). If this option will be added soon probably this tutorial isn't needed here.

Thanks a lot feyona. I had seen the tutorial in Russian but I didn't understand anything lol. Language barrier I think. This was really useful.

mebagl15 glad it helped. Mathcope :D. glad you found it useful. I wish there was an option at least to edit all ObjectCatalog in a bulk, like batch editing. Because some chairs have crazy amount of recolors.

Glad to hear that! What about batch fixer for tables? To batch fix (replace) rigs and slots in custom tables so sims could draw on the napkin.

feyona can you made a tutorial for table like did you do for chairs ? Edit:
I solved the problem with the CC tables working for restaurant... thanks to Cinderellimouse who wrote: The only reason to update a table is to add the ability for sims to draw pictures. This requires specific slots to be added. The way I did this was by using Sims4Studio. I had a 1x1 sized custom table. So I cloned a Dine Out table of the same size. Then I exported the 'slot' and 'rig' files from the official table using the 'warehouse' tab in Sims4Studio ( click on rig and then Export from the bottom right of the S4S window. The same for slot) . Then I opened my cc table and imported the 'rig' and 'slot' files ( click on rig and then Import from the bottom right of the S4S window. The same for slot). Once you've exported the rig and slot files for a 1x1 table, you can easily just import these to every cc table you wish to update. The only thing to be careful of is that you are using a matching sized table (so for a 2x1 seater, you'd need the rig and slot files from an official 2x1 seater table). Doesn't matter which official table you use to obtains the rig and slot. And now I have all CC tables and chair working with Dine out.

I've just downloaded the latest version oh S4S 2.7.0.7. - many many thanks - and wanted to fix my chairs and tables. So I clicked on tools - batch fixes and so on and browsed one of my creating folders - run - ok - found two items (yes, I had one chair and one table in this folder). Is this really it? Because the date is still 31st May, when I created these objects. Are they really fixed now? I can't believe it, that's too easy, have I done something wrong?

If you have 1006 tag for chair or 1008 for bar stool (plus 26625 but isn't essential) , it's ok... and yes, it's so easy... I do it for my 4 tables and 6 chairs and everything go fine in game... If you have tag 26625 and you edit a restaurant lot all CC chairs and tables can be viewed on restaurant furniture ...
