(CHECK THE BOTTOM OF THIS POST TO FIND THE ANSWER)
I've had this problem since the first day of the download. After updating my Sims game to the newest Gender update, some of the coding in my game regarding the said download has been warped. When I click the three circles/ellipse below the 'male' and 'female' sign, instead of having the options that are meant to be there (such as 'What physique does your Sim have? then the options 'feminine' and 'masculin'), it instead displays a combination of letters, numbers and characters (for example, 87dhsjdd;dsl). The options still change the look and the programming of the Sim, but the display names and completely warped, as well as the header for the expanded objects. I have no idea how this came about happening and other people don't seem to have the same problem. I didn't mess with Origin or the Sims game while it was updating, so I'm baffled as to how this occurred. If there are any other alternatives to uninstalling and reinstalling TS4 along with my expansion packs/game packs, then that would be great- I really don't want to unintall and reinstall anything as when I first got The Sims 4 and downloaded it, it took over 24 hours to download, and with Get To Work, it took about 3 hours (my Internet is atrocious, so uninstalling and re-installing TS4 would be a nightmare for me).
Thank you for you help in advance.
UPDATE: I had to uninstall and reinstall the game in order to fix this. I tried everything- clearing out all of my CC and mods to see if they were the reason, repairing my game... you name it.

Hi GeometricSims, by warped you do not mean this issue by any chance do you? It is caused by an out-of-date wrench icon hider. Also I too noticed that after installing the Gender patch I was suddenly missing certain menu descriptions. In my case forcing the game to reload the language data helped. Simply set your game to another language in Origin (right-click the game in origin, choose "game properties" and select another language from the menu), wait until the game has patched and then switch back to your orgininal language. I do hope this solves your troubles too.

Hi, thank you for responding. It wasn't an issue with the icons, but the gender menus being distorted. I shall be able to access my computer in about 30 minutes and I will get back to you on resetting the language.
Thanks!

Can anyone solve this? It's gotten to the point where I don't even want to play because there are a lot of options in my game that I cannot read and descriptions of moodlets that I cannot read (eg, my little brother was playing with his Sim family and his little boy got scared because of the monster under his bed. However, when this first happened, I couldn't read the descrition of the 'uncomfortable' moodlet as it was blank). Also, as I said in the first post of this thread, the gender update is broken too. Here are some pictures and descriptions so that you can get a better idea of what I mean: This doesn't happen with all my original moodlets, only the new ones like when the kids get uncomfortable about the monster under their bed. Anyway, it should look like this: So in my game, in the moodlets descriptions that were added, there would be no text inside the white part of the moodlet description and it would look like this: Also, with the gender update, instead of looking like this: My options look like this: (PS, sorry about the image examples, I didn't want to open up my game and take screenshots because my game can take long to load due to my crappy laptop, so I didn't want to take screenshots in game). @stevenssimsstuff Mathcope orangemittens MisterS have any of you encountered this problem/know how to fix it? It's driving me crazy!

MisterS lmao, so you just make content for it? That's understandable seeing as TS3 seems better than TS4 (even though I never played TS3 I've seen gameplay, read articles, etc)

I'm really Sorry about your Graphics problem - and a Slow internet is an issue, on top of it all. I would venture to Guess that it is a Graphics problem, if the Game is correctly' Updated. My Wife had a Laptop, years back...i kept telling her', don't buy a Laptop...Laptops are for Students and Readers/People on the move a lot. She wanted a Laptop, so she could Sit/Lay on the Comfy' Bed and play her' Pogo.com Games/Facebook poo and basically drive me nutts when it would not work right...haha! (I accidently knocked it over one Evening, so i got her' an Expensive Asis replacement out of a Guilty Feeling....a couple Months later, she Dropped that one from the Bed. That was so FUNNY, i cried like a 2 year-old.) °With Both Laptops, there were Graphics issues along with Memory issues....along with Overheating issues, along with Power Cable issues; just ISSUES. :hmph I finally gave her' my old PC, placed it on an actual -PC Friendly'- Table in the Bedroom and there are no more ISSUES, for the past year and a half. My Advice would be: Get an actual PC. Save a couple Hundred €uros up, or even get one on a Payment Plan....Time is all you Have in this Life, never Waste it on Trivial ISSUES.

Btw, I only have this laptop because:
a) I needed it temporarily for work and it was hella cheap (£200) b) I have an iPad Pro 12.9" that I use to work on now, I only use my laptop for Sims and S4S

Well, like anska was saying about Changing the Language deal....i think you would have to Delete your entire Game and when you sign-in to Origin to re-download the Entire Game, that's probably' where the Language Option is...i have no clue. °That sounds kinda strange...Because then you would have to Re-Download for your Language after changing it... °But that's RISKY, because you stated: "I have a Slow Internet Connection.". That's a Lot of Downtime to even fathom - and what if it doesn't work? Nothing Gained without Risk...wish i could Toss you a nice German Beer, over the Ocean...Ha!
Best of Luck....Rock On!
EDIT: There is a Laptop Mode in the Graphics settings, for the Game - Not trying to insult your intelligence, but you have that on Laptop Mode - Right?
