Sitting down poses

I've made a pose and the sim is sitting down but it doesn't work when sitting on a chair in game, it only works when the sim is standing up (the sim sits in mid air). I want the sim to pose while sitting in a chair but I'm not sure how to since I haven't seen any tutorials on how to. Any help is appreciated, thanks!
