Hi! I'm working on my first custom hairstyle, and everything seems to be in order in blender. I have uv mapped it and the texture is in place and looks the way I want it. However! When I import the mesh into S4S it does not import the textures with it. Is there anyway to import the mesh with the textures from blender?

No, there's not. You need to make your texture (UV map) and import it as a diffuse image in Studio, so you need to edit it in a 2d editor first.. Textures applied in blender will not import with it. Only the mesh will.

Thank you for the reply! It's a shame that I had to create a new texture, but now that it's the right size for the Sims it is working fine. However now I have a new issue. I added a ponytail to the hair i'm working on, and it looks correct in S4S but when I am in create-a-sim, the pony tail bounces around like it's not connected to my sim's head. imgur.com/YY9PCmK here is an example of what is happening. Any ideas how I could fix this?

This might be an issue with the Weight or the second uv map. There some tutorials in the forum about it. Cheeck in the CAS tutorials. You can also update the file for someone to take a better look. I've never done hair at all but many people in the forum will be able to help you.

You were right! It was a problem with the weight! Turns out the little ponytail part I added had it's weight connected to the eyes. So any time the sim would blink, the ponytail would go wild.
This video: Was helpful in figuring out how to fix it in case anyone else ever runs into this issue.
Thanks again for all your help =)
