I have some questions all relating to creating CAS content -- I hope it's okay that they're in this thread together rather than littering the forum with multiple questions, but if not please tell me and I'll start a thread for each.
Firstly, I'm brand new to S4S. I've just managed to get my first skinblend into the game, and a recolour of someone else's lipsticks (permission sought and granted), so I have a very basic knowledge, but not much. Learning as I go!
I've been coming up against a few niggles and wondered if I was looking for functionality that didn't exist, or if indeed I just don't know how to do it yet. I have spent time searching and browsing through the forums and tutorials, but haven't found answers to these questions.
1) Is there a way to batch export textures from a package that has multiple different textures/swatches?
- I tried the batch export button in the warehouse with all of the RLE images selected but I don't think I fully understand what an RLE is, because I was assuming it would export the DDS textures. It didn't, obviously.
2) Is there a way to rearrange swatch order without deleting them all and starting from scratch?
- I have 4 lipstick packages each with 50 swatches (I know, excessive) and the thought of deleting them all and trying to rearrange them outside of S4S into tones and re-importing them makes me want to cry.
3) Semi-related to number 2, when creating non-default eye packages, how can I ensure all my swatches will appear in the order I want and all together, rather than mixed in with other non-defaults I have installed?
4) Semi-related to 3, I have (not created by me) a default eye replacement installed, as well as 3 non-default eye packages. In-game I can only either see the defaults, or the non-defaults, depending on which eye preset I pick, and once I hit the dice randomise button I only ever get the non-defaults from that point onward. Is this a known problem, or is there something I can change in the package files to make them all appear in the swatches together?
Many thanks in advance for any help you can provide.
