So I have been doing a lot of conversions (objects) lately and most of them have a very weird shine on them.Sometimes it's kinda yellow-ish. Also Today I have noticed a weird shadow on a canvas mesh I've done by myself. And something else that's wrong is that a mesh's texture has a very 8-bit texture and the mesh is round. It looks awful. Can you please tell me what' I'm doing wrong?? ~Thanks~ P.S you can see some pics over here: ~Click Here~

John-Sims the link brings me to the main page of your tumblr. Can you post your pictures right here in the topic? Also it would be better if you post your package along with screenshots.

I peeked at them quickly and my first impression is that it is something with the normal or spectacular. Did you change them? Also seconding Feyona the package will give us a better idea

Also seconding Feyona the package will give us a better idea Uhm..I usually delete the specular (my logic) and other stuff like that in the warehouse tab. As for the package I'm still waiting for SimFileShare to accept my request for the account. It does say that it is free in the main page but if it requires any payment and stuff I'll close my account as I don't have a credit card yet. ~Thanks~

How does the game treat objects that don't have a normal or specular map? From the common problems thread I would have assumed, that you best don't just delete them. Also I faintly remember having read somewhere, that Sims3 textures had different sizes than those used in Sims4 - do your textures have the measurements specified in the common problems thread? Edit: If you cannot find a place to upload your custom objects to, OrangeMittens made a tutorial about how to use One Drive here, dropbox is a free and easy to use option as well.

You shouldn't delete any resource of the package for that porpouse. If you don't want the specular or the bump map to have any effect in the game render. Blank them. Import a blank specular and a blank bump map image. It doesn't require to have the same size of your item's uv. You can reduce it even to 4x4.
Also, SimFileShare is free.

Nope..not at all. that's why I see VERY weird glossy shines everywhere and the size is very very weird as well. Next time I'll do the conversions again and I'll blank the specular map Really thanks to everyone though!! I didn't know all of that usefull stuff
