I am working on something that requires it kinda be luminous, the hyuga curse seal when activated as well as some of the characters eyes have a glow effect to them that makes them stand out in the dark, is there a way to do that easily or would that require a certain level of meshing and coding changes? I dont use blender i only have photoshop and sims 4 studio

The easy way is to use Blender and paint the part of the mesh you want to glow with vertex paint but if you don't use Blender maybe you could clone a light and use the source to make your object glow. you could adjust the brightness and colour in S4S, if it works it won't require code changes. Although on reflection this again may need the parts of the mesh that are not a light to blacked out with vertex paint. The only other thing I have come across that has vertex paint already on the mesh are the crystals the sims collect, the effect is very subtle so I'm not sure this would achieve what you are looking for but it may be worth a look

I only know of using the emission map to make CAS items glow, but i don't know if that's the same as what you want to accomplish: Dynamic Light on Clothing
