Wrench icon on hair

I got a new hair style and colors and the game recognizes the mod but theres a wrench icon on it and when I select it it just shows a shaved head instead of the style and colors. What does this mean and how do I fix it so I can use the syle and colors? Ive never done any mods before  this is the first one
