I started working on a decluttered and slightly retextured version of the Three Tiered Computer Station (or whatever it's called) about a year ago. I just got back into it. This is my first time doing anything like this. My problem is this: 1. The shadow from the clutter on top is still visible in certain lighting. 2. And there are those parts left over from the electronics that were on the bottom two shelves. The shadow doesn't bother me too much because it's only visible in certain lighting from what I can tell, but those pieces in the front are killing me. I've tried everything I can think of to fix it but they aren't going away. Here's the .package if anyone wants to take a look.

Hello, they are both easily fixed. The shadow isn't actually a shadow but light reflected differently - if you take a look at your specular map you can see the remainders of the objects there. You will simply have to edit the spec map a little and the shadow will be gone. The parts of the electronics are still visible, because you didn't remove them from the from the object. If you take a look at your blend you will see, that they make up the third mesh group. You will have to reduce them to one face and then hide it in the object - as described here.

The thing is, when I bring up the mesh in blender the electronic parts don't show up. There's literally nothing to hide.

Would it be possible, that you already deleted the meshgroup in the past? In the blend I exported from your package, it is definitively there. Would you please try adding s4studio_mesh_3 group, set the cut number to 3 and fill it with a single face/vertex group which you simply hide somewhere in your table.
