I have been trying to make a new bedframe but whenever I import it in S4S it looks like the original frame is merged with the new one I made BUT I actually deleted the old frame. Does someone have a link to a good tutorial on how to make a working bed? OR can someone tell me what I did wrong? Thank you for reading!

Hi pinkmuffin, I assume you want to make a frame for a bed with a separated frame and matress? In an ensemble like this the matress is the actual bed, while the frame is simply a walkthrough deco object. It would be easiest if you simply imported the mesh you made for your frame into a package cloned from a deco object. Also it sounds a little as if you ran into a problem when deleting a mesh group in blender, the problem and how to avoid it, is explained in greater detail in this tutorial. If this didn't solve your problem, could you please link to your package? It's much easier to help, when one can have a look at the files.

Thank you SO MUCH for taking the time to respond! Well, I thought it is possible to make a new frame INCL matress. In other words, I took a basic bed from sims 4, clicked "edit mode" and deleted the frame around it. Then I tried to make a new frame where the old was before but either I messed up somewhere on the way or that is sinply not possible and I am trying it the wrong way. I can't link any file right now because out of frustration I deleted it to start anew. I will recreate what I did and link as soon as I can.
Thank you again!

I venture a guess that the deleting bit might be the key to the problem. As shown in the tutorial liked to above, all object in the sims have a certain number of mesh groups which are numbered by a cut number. If you simply delete one of those cuts, studio won't recognize you changed anything and display the deleted cut anyway, while if you add more cuts than the object originally had, it will have difficulties as well. (It will also complain if one of your groups has the wrong number - for example if you but the main mesh where the program would expect the shadow plane.) Most double beds have three cuts - if I remember correctly - numbered 0,1,2 with 0 being the frame, 1 the matress and 3 the shadow. If you number them in any other order studio won't be able to load the object properly. When you start anew, take a look at how the cuts in the mesh of the bed which you base your item on are numbered and things should be fine.

I will send you my project when its done so you know what you helped me with I still have to give it the right texture. You are truly my hero. I am so hyped that I can finally go on right now!
