Make simple, easy to follow videos. Have fun making wallpapers! And don't forgot to show my what you made!

is there a video tutorial with GIMP version as I have that programme as well as Paint.NET only, I do not have Photoshop. Thanks in advance

Ah, that's a pitty. Though it is seamless as far as I can see.. It's kind of streched, did you resize the wallpapers too? And how did it look in GIMP, was it already streched out there too? Unfortunately I never worked with GIMP before, so I don't know how it works either. Maybe Someone else knows, so maybe making a question about streched wallpapers in the Creator help section could help..

Hey So I am making a recolour of a wall and I am making a few sets of this recolour, I finished the first set and everything looks great and works great, when I went in game to test out my second set it all work except the first colour, that colour did not show up, is this becuase I have two recolours of the same wallpaper and for some reason the first colour of the second recolour set isn't showing up!? Sorry if thats confusing.
Example: Pretty in plaster is the wall I am recolouring. 1st recolour has 3 colours Red Yellow and Blue (works and showa up great) 2nd recolour has 3 colours Orange Purple and Green (Orange being the 1st colour doesn't show up but the other two do)
Also they are two different packages but show up in the same wall in game.

Yes, that's sounds confusing I've read your post now 10 times I think, but still don't know exactly what you're saying... Can you make some screenshots of what you mean? Especially the part where you're saying you have two separate packages but they show up at one place I don't understand. As there's no such thing as a Prototype ID to copy as far as I can see when opening a random wallpaper.. But it's a long time ago I made wallpapers, so maybe things have changed.

Haha Ohkay I apologize I was super tired typing that! Ii will try again to make sense of this... I am recolouring "Pretty in Plaster" In game there is a "swatch" of Pretty in Plaster under Masonry...following? So I did my first recolour and have 9 colours all DARK (Red, Orange, Yellow, Olive, Green, Turquoise, Blue, Purple & Magenta) They all show up in there own "swatch" in game under Masonry beside the origonal "Pretty in Plaster" swatch....still following? Now I made my second recolour of the same "Pretty in Plaster" and the same colours except a lighter version. In game the colours show up in the same swatch as the first recolour (which is fine) So here is where I may confuse you...... On the 1st recolour set the 1st colour I did was (DARK) RED as well as the 2nd recolour set (LIGHT RED). BUT my Light RED is not showing up. Here is pictures of them in game;

Ok sweetsorrowsims, now I DO understand. About the 2 different packages that show up at the same swatch. When making that second swatch, did you made en entire new wallpaper or did you open your first one, changed the wallpapers and then used "save as" to make it into it's own package file? Because if that's the case, then that's the reason it will "overwrite" your first darker wallpapers. If you want to make a second wallpaper with lighter colors seperated from the darker ones, you have to make an all new wallpaper recolor. As for the lighter red that's missing. I don't know how that could happen. But maybe you'll need to first solve the first problem and maybe the second one is solved this way too. One small thing you also may change is the description for the lighter ones, as it's still the same as for the dark ones. (That's also the reason I think you used yor first package and used "save as" to make your second.)

Well, I tried again and this time I downloaded the free version of Photoshop CS2, and why didn't I do this in the first place?, so I watched your video again Bakie and this time I'm impressed with myself, it has worked with my own patterns as wallpaper:
Short wallpaper
Medium Wallpaper:
Tall Wallpaper:
I'm really impressed and happy with myself that I didn't give up and tried again. Now I know what to do and I'll continue watching your video several times Bakie until I get it right. here is another in game picture: Thanks for your tutorial! Cheers!
