Open your texture in photoshop, click channels, create new channel and color the parts that should be transparent black, non-transparent is white.

As Devilicious said, and make sure you save using DTX5 8 bpp interpolated alpha.

hi plazasims! you have to change the feather's geometry to a glass shader. Here's a tutorial. If i see correctly, the feather is part of the hat? Then you'll need to find a base game hat that has to groups (one the hat, and the other the feather with the simglass geometry). Or you can clone some glasses, and then change the category and cas parts to all hat. To separate the feather from the hat, you'll need to go to edit mode in blender, select the plane and press P and "from selection" to separate into other group. Rename and edit the cut numbers accordingly. Tutorial.
