I was given permission to try and convert an artist stuff for Sims 3 to Sims 4. I try all the things in the tutorials but I can't get the package to load in Blender. I keep getting a traceback error screen. Any idea what I'm doing wrong? I don't know how to copy and paste the error so you can see what I'm talking about.

Sorry for the bump but here's a screenshot of the error message maybe that helps more.

hi! i'm not really sure what steps you're following but you can't open/export/import sims 3 stuff with sims 4 studio. You have to export the meshes, textures, and all you need with thesimsresource workshop. You should check out their forums and tutorials in their page since this forum only supports s4s.

Hi theafrosamurai, what item are you trying to import into Blender using the ClipTool? The issue with ClipTool is that we no longer support it as we're focused on Sims 4. It's sort of one of those deals where if it works for you great but if it doesn't there isn't much I can do to help you because there are no updates for ClipTool planned now that Sims 3 is no longer updating. I don't even have Sims 3 installed on my computer anymore. If we do decide to provide real support for Sims 3 conversion that feature would most likely get rolled into Sims 4 Studio as opposed to counting on a strictly Sims 3 posing tool for functionality.
At this point, while I can say ClipTool will work for a lot of Sims 3 mesh imports, it is very likely it will not work for them all. If you run into a mesh that it will not import, you're best off taking inabadromance's advice. Once you have the mesh out of the .package Studio can help with the conversion to Sims 4 part of the process.
I wish I had a better answer for you but time simply doesn't permit the team to support a Sims 3 posing tool at the same time we're working on a comprehensive Sims 4 tool for both Windows and Mac.
