So I got a new desktop on Monday and I've been having a bunch of issues with it. I'll list some here as it may help someone help me with this situation:

My game has been super laggy (if you can solve this issue for me, please do on this post that I posted a while ago: www.sims4studio.com/thread/6199/sims-incredibly-laggy-poor-frame?page=1&scrollTo=56950)
Blender won't open for me

Here is what it looks like when I try to open Blender:

If anyone knows why this is, please let me know, (orangemittens MisterS @stevenssimsstuff you guys seem like some of the best people to ask, help meh if you can).
I think that maybe it may be something to do with my graphics card. Here are the specs for my computer under spoiler tags:

That's the thing, I can't go back to when Blender was working on my desktop because I literally just got it on Monday. I'm just setting stuff up this week.
I'm pretty sure, after days of trouble shooting, that it's my graphics chip that's on my motherboard. I am going to get a new on though. Hopefully that will solve the problem.

Usually, you will have a Graphics Card that you can remove and replace...i have done a few, in the past. I have no clue about MSI Motherboard...Graphic chip(?), that doesn't even sound right. From viewing your Post, you have a Solid Color Screen...which means your Graphics Card is Functioning. If it were whacked-out, the First thing you would notice would be a strange Greenish' Screen, usually...a Screen that is not displaying the Full Color Spectrum.

Without having a Backup of your C:, it is a REAL BITCH.

Replacing a Graphics Card can be expensive, so try and Troubleshoot your Progs - Get rid of anything that you recently' installed and do a Virus scan.

°Graphics Drivers - Check
°Open Prog (Program) - Blender as Administrator
(Sometimes, various progs won't function with certain Virus progs running @ the same time.)

Card name: Microsoft Basic Display Adapter & Driver Name: are your biggest clues. The drivers are not installed for your gpu, means it is running with a basic Windows driver. (Enough to put an image on your screen but not much else).

Install the correct driver and everything should be fine.

Most of my PC's specs are really decent, but my graphics aren't great. I have tried updating my graphics driver multiple times, but to no avail. Have no fear, however, as I am ordering a new one for my PC right now. Playing Sims in Ultra Low graphics certainly is not the best option but I mean, I can put up with it in build mode for now.

Thank you again guys. I can always count on you to put my worries to rest. Ngl, you guys are actually better than EA support lmao.

Glad to be able to help for a change instead of being the one asking for help lol

I think the issue there is it's an integrated gpu, which don't have anywhere near the power of a dedicated one. Intergrated ones share your CPU and/or a chip attached directly to the motherboard, a dedicated one has it's own GPU, sort of like another CPU but dedicated purely to graphics processing. If your motherboard permits, get a decent PCI-e video card.

fifthace2007 exactly, as it's only a graphics chip on the motherboard, it hardly has any power :(

But hopefully my graphics card will come tomorrow seeing as I have Amazon Prime. I'll just get my brother to install it as he has a lot of knowledge in installing hardware into computers. It's a shame that he sold his graphics card to one of his friends for £50 as I could have had it. Oh well, everything should be sorted soon, I'll keep you guys updated.
