Hi there ! I hope you could help me with this because I'm stocked. I can't figure out what I am doing wrong... I try to merge the top part of the "RushedPartyDress" dress and the bottom part of the "DressPanels" together. I follow this tutorial (except for the last part about UV mapping because I tried to test the dress first) : sims4studio.com/thread/3499/merge-cas-meshes-using-blender — No particular questions about it, I understand every step clearly and tried to adapt some to my own personal project (since it's two dresses instead of a top and a bottom meshes separated). Everything looks good in Blender, everything looks good in Sims4Studio but obviously when I try the dress out in game : ... this happens. I can't understand what is causing this, so I'm just going to let you the blender file here : www.dropbox.com/s/dzqu4rjnlvat33b/simserenity-merged_dresses-issue.blend?dl=0I'm trying to expand my knowledges in 3D at this moment, so if you find a solution, please could you explain me what is causing this ? I assume -however without any certitude- that this is caused by a vertice who must probably be assigned to a wrong part of the Sim skeleton ? Or maybe it is assigned to nothing because of the merging thing ? I don't know if this can help, but the "RushedPartyDress" mesh has 3 GEOM but since "DressPanels" only has one, I merged the whole thing into one GEOM and replace the number from "0003" to "0000". And by the way, the dress in it's thumbnail looks different actually : Hope some of you guys can enlighten me on this Thank you !

Looking at your mesh in Blender, it seems like it's not separated into groups properly and the dress is duplicated as well. An easy fix for this is to just clone a dress that has only one group and import your mesh.

OK got it. But (stupid question coming through) if I want to do that, how should I export my mesh to import it back in another cloned dress blend file ? I mean, if I actually just import my blend file in the new cloned dress one it will probably keep the group issue on it no ? And if I export it as .obj file, it will lose all his bone assignments (but I could maybe transfer them using "Transfer weight" tool?) I assume... EDIT : Yeah I tried that and none of these options worked... I don't know how I have to proceed.

how about cloning a full body outfit like a swimwear outfit, export the mesh (fix normals/seams on the skin by selecting all and "remove doubles" from the side bar. Previously you need to change the viewport's shader so that the change is visible.) Then append your mesh, remove the legs. Delete what you don't need from the swimwear outfit, and join both meshes by shift selecting the group names (top part and your matching dress) and pressing ctrl+j to join. You'll have 3 groups in total.

Thanks for the help Thanks to you I learn how to fix the normal ! :D Sadly that didn't fix the problem. :( The bottom part of the dress keeps rising up. I now know it can't be because of the weights (I know nothing lol). But still i can't understand what is causing this :/

hi! try cloning the dresspanels instead to use as a base and import your mesh edit. Remember to export the dresspanels mesh again and check if all the cuts match with your mesh edit just in case. Sometimes packages are configured differently.. and since you're having issues with the bottom part... this might work? Also, i've noticed you fixed the seams on the body, i suggest fixing the edges on the bottom part and the chest area. You can follow this tutorial for that.
