I am trying to get a kitchen counter right and this is the only thing that is not working out. the uvmap looks normal but as soon as I import texture into game I get a weird black rectangle right on top of my counter. I do not know how to upload pictures directly but here is a link to a pic and the blenderfile. we.tl/wE7HI6T9fzThank you for reading!

Hi pinkmuffin, I am unable to proceed to your download without agreeing to terms and conditions that I do not want to agree to. HERE is a tutorial showing how to post a picture in the forum. This picture shows how to share a link to your .blend:

I can't tell for sure from the picture what the issue is. If you post the .package someone can take a look.

You are missing a bit of texture, fill it in and it should be fine

Thank you so much! Do you know why this part got missing? I just don't understand how this is possible because I never changed anything of this mesh and its still the original islandtop from sims4 basegame.

It doesn't matter that you didn't change the mesh because it's the texture that has the problem. The original texture is a solid 256 x 1024 image, and you have replaced that with a 1024 x 1024 image that has a partial alpha. Your map is being stretched to cross the entire expanse of that image so it is partially lying over that alpha area.
The original countertop is set up so that the edges are hanging off the 256 x 1024 map, presumably so that when placed next to one another the tops will tile correctly. You would most likely be best off using the same image size and mapping to take advantage of this characteristic.
