Hey guys. Well i've been stuck on this for SO LONG, took a break, tried some new things and it's still just NOT WORKING. I'm converting the teen modern bed from the sims 3, and that conversion went great. I am trying to make a headboard to go into the slot in the headboard part of the bed. SO I went through and extracted the "headboard" part, flattened it and used extrude to make it 3d and not just flat. HOWEVER, when I go to make the diffuse for it, the back area and the top part are all white with that weird shadow thing. I've tried SEVERAL things but I can't figure it out, so I'm here to ask the experts. Diffuse

Hi mahoushoujosims, the problem is occurring because you have replaced the original item's shadow plane with your headboard mesh. The .blend you are importing has two identical headboard meshes in the same place. One of these meshes (the one replacing the shadow plane) has a cut number of 0 while the other has a cut number of 1. The one that has a cut number of 0 is displaying the EA "blob" sheet that is meant to go on a plane to provide a shadow on the floor (or the wall behind a wall item). Any mesh that you import into this .package that has a cut number of 0 will display that blob sheet image because that is how the original item was set up. To fix the problem you can delete all but one face of the first headboard mesh in the .package, shrink that face, and bury it inside the second headboard. You will be able to tell which one to get rid of because, not only does it have a cut number of 0, it is displaying the blob sheet image in Blender. This will hide the shadow plane group and it will also cut the poly count of the .package almost in half by removing a duplicate mesh that is not needed. To see an illustrated tutorial that goes over this, check out the tutorial I wrote showing how to deal with all of EA's shadow types. It is posted in the Build/Buy section. If you run into more questions, please post again.
