Hello, all! I'm toodling around with the asymmetrical dress from Get Together and am looking to get rid of the halter strap. I've been pouring over similar threads to figure out why this is not going how I want, but I'm stuck. So, here's what's going on: I first thought I'd remove the strap in the mesh. But removing it creates a transparency in the mesh (see below), which is obviously not what I'm going for. So, I put the strap mesh bit back in and tried removing the strap from the texture, thinking that I could make it transparent. However, that left me with a weird brown strap. Here are the edited texture and its alpha channel - the strip removed in the lower right mass is the designated halter area. And here is what it looks like in the S4S preview window. I've looked through the warehouse tab and edited the DST Image, the RLE 2 images and the RLES image. Yet, none of my edits (in any combination) seem to do anything. And this is where my knowledge of editing meshes ends, so I'd love to get some input on how to solve this weird brown strap mystery! Thank you!

You will need to edit the shadow image. Follow THIS tutorial.

hi! the thing with this dress is that the straps are meshed and mapped differently. You can see it on the image, that the UV on the chest area has the wholes of the strap, and the strap is elsewhere. So only editing the texture isn't going to remove them. You'll have to edit the mesh and replace the top part of the chest (skin area) with another top. Here's a tutorial for that.

Thank you both, brujah and inabadromance. I tried both of your suggestions and it looks like inabadromance's worked! I frankenmeshed the dress with the strapless bra mesh so there was as little as possible of the second mesh to remove. Still have a little to fix on the gold trim area, but I think that we've solved this problem! Thanks again!
