Introduction
Until we get a visual footprint editor into S4S I present an alternative.
This tutorial will show you how to create a visual representation of an object's footprint from a point list using Sims 4 Studio, Notepad++, and Blender.
The tutorial has several steps because every detail is covered and illustrated but this should make it easy to follow along. If you have questions or comments about the tutorial please post them in the thread along with the number of the step you're discussing.
This tutorial will not show you how to create a new footprint nor edit an existing footprint, all it will do is show you how to create a visual representation of an object's footprint from a point list. For further help getting started please see the Build/Buy/Tuning tutorial list.
What you will need
Sims 4 Studio (obviously lol)
A text editor - I'm using Notepad++
CSV Mesh Importer for Blender - sourceforge.net/projects/csv-me-importer/ (Works with any version of Blender 2.5+)
Blender 2.70
Instructions
