I'm using the Jackpot version of S4S, and I use GIMP 2.8 for my recolors. I also use a website to convert my recolors to DDS (Settings: DXT5, with mip maps, no resizing) For some reason, I'm having problems with the transparency of my lipstick recolor. It seems the darker the skin tone, the more dull and transparent the lipstick Here's the lipstick on a lighter skin tone. This how I want it to look. Vibrant and bold. However, when I try to use it with darker skin tones, it dulls and fades. When I was doing the recolor, I even put a solid, opaque layer of matching blue underneath the lipstick while editing so that the blur tool wouldn't accidentally wipe the color away. (I often find that colors can be essentially erased if blurred too much. So it's not uncommon for me to have that safety layer) After I finished the edit, I merged both layers so that there was only one. I know that I didn't leave any transparency in my edit, so I'm still curious as to why it's being affected by differing skin tones. I would like to put the package up here, but I'm having trouble figuring that out... (new to posting, super sorry!)
