I'm working on a makeup collection but the method I use to recolor cc leaves the lips looking pixelated when in CAS and in game. Here's the method I use:
1. Open PNG and fill in the background black 2. Open picture and cover the page 3. Play around with layering options (I typically use multiply, hardlight, or overlay) 4. Flatten image 5. Use magic wand to delete the black background.
Any other method I could use in order to make the CC look good?

Hello antiandres ! When I make lipstick I do theses steps: 1. I open this body template and size it up to 2048x4096. It's easier to work on this size and then scale it down to 1024x2048. But if you make a content for HQ settings then you'll need to have 2048x4096 diffuse map and 1024x2048 specular map. 2. Open the picture of lipstick that I am going to use as a texture. 3. Cut small pieces of that lipstick and place over body template. I use warp and transformation tools (in Photoshop). 4. If there is a distortion (and you will get a distortion and blur when you use warp tool) I draw over the texture choosing colors from the main texture with color picking tool. I draw with 1 px brush and check the result in simz 4 studio. 5. When I am satisfied with result, I merge all lipstick texture layers and clean the edges with eraser brush with soft edges. 6. Delete body template layer so I can see only lipstick texture on a transparent background. Save as .PNG, import in Studio and check in the game. 7. If I like the result with different skintones I recolor my texture by using Image-Selective colors option most of the time when I want to get natural shades. Sometimes changing hue/saturation gives really good results. I don't like using the method when you duplicate main texture as a different layer and change blending options. Sometimes it gives pixelization on the edge of lipstick, especially bright one. 8. Not every lipstick will look good on dark skintones. For dark skintones you need to soften the edge even more. MOD EDIT: pixel ratio correction
